Cabrini Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is a voluntary, not-for-profit, 240-bed nursing home sponsored by the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It has provided high quality, compassionate skilled nursing care since 1993. Located on the Lower East Side of New York City, Cabrini Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is a Home where serving elders is viewed as a vocation; the residents are as diverse as the city where they reside; and people, not routines, are the priority.

The Home’s person centered care philosophy is apparent in the individualized care plans developed for each resident, as well as the meal choices and variety of recreational activities. Mass and interfaith religious services are available daily.

Embracing Diversity

What makes Cabrini Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation so unique is the diversity of the residents. Representing many ethnicities, the home’s multicultural environment is reflected in the variety of global dishes that are served. The home also has a designated “Chinatown” unit, catering to the large population of Asian residents. The unit’s décor, services, language and meals are parallel to Asian culture.
