We love caring for people

They are people who donate their time, skills and talents to support our programs and services. They lend a hand wherever help is needed. They make a difference in the lives of many. They are Cabrini Eldercare volunteers.
From assisting with various recreational programs to helping with clerical administrative tasks, Cabrini Eldercare volunteers are special people. Whether it is once a week or once a month, they give their time to benefit either the nursing home, adult day health center, home care offices or immigrant services programs. Through their dedication, patience, and compassion, Cabrini volunteers work for the satisfaction of helping others and carry forth Mother Cabrini’s mission of caring.
Volunteer Opportunities
Cabrini Eldercare volunteers have the opportunity to match their skills and interests with meaningful assignments. There are many areas in which volunteer help is needed and scheduling is very flexible. Volunteer opportunities include:
Recreational Activities
Assist with various recreational programs that include music, exercise, games, crafts, entertainment and discussion groups.
Pastoral Care
Help escort residents to religious services in the chapel during the week and on weekends.
Clerical Assistants
Help with administrative tasks such as filing, copying, word processing, answering telephones, and helping with mailings and other office tasks.
Day Center Assistants
Help with activities, socialize with the residents, and help to serve lunch.
Immigrant Services
Teach in our “English for Speakers of Other Languages” program, assist in the Food Pantry, as well as with general office tasks.
